Significant transformation of Carson Wentz with the Eagles

The Eagles have made it through 10 practices since Pads arrived at the trading camp.

No, it’s not really that long to evaluate their 80-man roster but it’s a challenge facing the coaching staff, especially without the preseason games.

Here is my latest guess:

QB (3): Carson Wentz, Nate Sudfeld, Jalen Hurtz

These three have not changed. Naturally, all three will create a roster. The real question is whether Sudfeld backup remains.

RB (4): Miles Sanders, Boston Scott, Corey Clement, Adrian Killins

I feel really confident in the top three. Clement is looking healthy and strong, getting this training camp, a place. That fourth job comes down to Elijah Holyfield or Killins. The Eagles will really like Killins and he has the next level of momentum. That’s enough for me.

WR (6) D Sean Jackson, Jillian Rigor, JJ Arsega-Whiteside, Greg Ward Jr., John Hightower, Quiz Watkins

Deonte was really hard to cut Burnett. It deserves a roster spot but I can’t see the Eagles with seven receivers. So unfortunately, it’s out here. The Eagles keep these six and Elson starts the season on Jeffrey Pupp.

TE (3): Zach Ertz, Dallas Goedert, Noah Togii

Josh Perkins was on his way to the roster spot but he was injured and is now on IR. So Noah Togii is the next person. The Reagan State rookie in the camp felt very good. There is a chance that the Eagles will roll with two tight ends, but that may not be wise.

OL (): Jason Peters, Isaac Sumalo, Jason Kells, Matt Prior, Lane Johnson, Jordan Mailta, Jack Driscoll, Nate Herbig, Prince Tega Vanogo

The last cut here is Sua Opeta and it is one of the final cuts overall. So there’s a chance he makes the team and keeps the Eagles 10. Or they cut the taga, which is not a roster lock. Creating another team. And there’s a chance that the Eagles could try to get some experienced coping help after losing Andre Dillard for this season.

DE (6): Brandon Graham, Derek Barnett, Winnie Curry, Josh Sweat, JJ Ostman, Casey Tuhill

Put Stuman and Tuhill, in simple terms, have played their way on the roster. How good they have been this summer. Both teams deserve to be made. That means Generd Avery and Sharif Miller will be cut. The 4-round pick will be hard to cut and the one you got from the 4-round pick trade, but Ostman and Tohill are better right now.

DT (4): Fletcher Cox, Javon Hargrave, Malik Jackson, Hassan Ridgeway

Depending on Hargrav’s injury status, the Eagles will keep five here. If they do, Michigan State’s UDFA, Ryke Williams, is the next man. But I’ll stick with the four of them right now, especially since Graham and Curry can play inside.

LB (6): Nate Gary, Duke Riley, TJ Edwards, Devian Taylor, Shawn Bradley, Alex Singleton

I ate six traps to keep six linebackers or six corners. I went with the linebackers because I was inexperienced in the position. At least Singleton has been around for a while. And that’s my fourth linebacker until the color is ready.

CB (): Darius Slay, Avonte Maddox, Nickel Robbie-Coleman, Creovan LeBlanc, Rasul Douglas

The obvious omission here is Sydney Jones. I don’t know if the Eagles would be willing to cut him out completely, but he certainly didn’t win the roster spot. If I’m the Eagles, I’m trying to send him into a conditionally late round team that thinks they can get something out of the former 2G-round selection. Also keep an eye on Craig James by the way. It’s a good special timer and there’s a better chance than you might think of creating a roster.

S (): Rodney McLeod, Jalen Mills, Kevan Wallace, Will Parks

I think these are the four virtual lux. Other names to see here are UDFA Greland Arnold and Special Timmer Rudy Ford. If Arnold doesn’t make the team, the Eagles will try to get him into the practice team.

Specialists (s): Jack Elliott, Cameron Johnston, Rick Lovato

These three are solid.

Pup: Brandon Brooks, Alson Jeffrey, Dason Hall

IR: Josh Perkins, Andre Dillard

Practice team (16+ international liberation): Craig James, Elijah Holyfield, Dionte Burnett, Sue Opita, Luke Juriga, Greland Arnold, Marcus Apes, Rick Quan Williams, Sharif Miller, Michael Jacket, Julian Good-Jones, Tyrone Swaps, Elijah Riley, Riode, Mike Woody
