Shawn Wade has announced that he will return to the state of Ohio for the 2020 season

Shan Wade is coming back.

While attending ESPN’s Sports Center on Thursday night, Wade announced that he would return to the state of Ohio to help the bookies chase the national championship this fall.

“I’ll come back and be a bookie and really strive for this national championship like I did back in January,” Wade said.

Wade initially chose the college football season on Monday to begin preparations for the 2021 NFL Draft, citing uncertainty about the upcoming season and a lack of communication from the Big Ten about the decision to postpone. But with Big Ten announcing on Wednesday that its season would begin in October-October, giving Ohio State a chance to once again compete for the Football League football-off playoff berth, Wade decided to opt back.

“Back in January, I didn’t go to the (2020) draft, and my goal is to come back, to be a captain, to get my degree and the Big Ten for football is back now,” Wade said. “We have a chance to win the national championship. That is my goal 1 day later. So we’re striving for that, and we’ll be striving for it when we get back in October. ”

When Wade became the second bookie to exit the season on Monday, joining Wyatt Davis, he said he didn’t pay much attention to the possibility of returning to the state of Ohio if the bookies could play in the fall.

“I haven’t thought about this, because I’ve made my decision from now on, but if it does on time, if it’s before I sign, I can think about it.” Eleven Warriors On monday. “Then we’ll see.”

After Davis announced he would return on Wednesday, however, Wade decided to pursue his lead, giving Clemson one more chance to score on the national title after the Buccaneers’ devastating defeat in last year’s College Football in the playoffs. Semifinals.

Wade said Davis was the first person he said he was returning to, and that defensive coordinator and secondary coach Carrie Coombs was the only other player or coach who said he was returning before the announcement.

“As soon as he found out, Wyatt was happy,” Wade said. “We were talking, I told him, I’m going to come back too, because at the end of the day, we both came back for a reason, it’s just as beautiful.”

Wade, captain of the 2020 and potential first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, will be the only returning starter in the otherwise inexperienced bookie secondary and is expected to be one of the best defensive backs in the entire country.

With Wade’s decision to return, Ohio State no longer has players who have opted for the 2020 season, and should have a full 85 scholarship players to play this fall.

During his appearance on the Ryan Day show on Thursday, Combs hinted at Wade’s possible return, “Let’s hope it’s not his final game.” From the Fiesta Bowl. And Wade said Thursday that it’s one of the reasons he decided to return to Ohio State for the second time this year – and play this fall before starting his professional career.

“We had a sour taste last year with Clemson, but this year, we got a great team on this team, great leadership, and we’re looking forward to that,” Wade said. “I can’t go out on the last target game like that. I have to come back and do great things for the bookie nation and just for my fellow players. So really wait for that. ”
