Seth Rogen is a master of comedy, and is back with a remake of the man outside of the narrative. HBO Max is in full swing now, trying to compete with Netflix and the other streaming giants. So HBO Max will premiere the new Seth Rogen comedy titled An American pickle. A new trailer for the movie has just landed.

In the trailer, we see a European Seth Rogen struggling to survive in 1919. He and his wife migrate to the United States in hopes of pursuing the American dream. He ends up working in a pickle factory, where one day he falls into a vat of pickle juice. His work closes and he is declared dead, until 100 years later, when his body is perfectly preserved in the pickle juice.

It sounds over the top, but the trailer is light-hearted and fun. 1919 Seth Rogen meets his great descendant from 2020 (also played by Seth Rogen), and then the real comedy begins. Directed by Brandon Trost, the movie stars Rogen, Sarah Snook, Kalen Allen, and more. An American pickle will begin airing on HBO Max on August 6. Check out the full trailer below and tell us how you feel about Rogen’s new comedy in the comments.
