SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Department of Health’s COVID-19 report for Tuesday shows 362 new confirmed cases and four new deaths.
Utah now has 44,752 positive COVID-19 cases and 578,549 people have been screened for the disease.
The role of the state seven days on average for positive testing is 399 per day.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,677 people in Utah have needed hospitalization for COVID-19. Of these, 189 people remain hospitalized.
349 people in Utah have now died from COVID-19. The four new dead announced Tuesday were all Salt Lake County residents:
- Male – between 45-64, hospital at time of death
- Woman, over 85, resident of longer term care
- Female, between 65-84, resident of longer term care facility
- Male, between 65-84, resident of long-term care
34,764 of Utah’s cases – nearly 78 percent – are considered “recovered.” A case with a diagnosis date of more than three weeks ago, which has not died, is considered repaired.
