First Chamber Speaker Ron Johnson, R-Wis., Said Tuesday that FBI Director Christopher Wray was submitted as part of the commission’s broad review of the origins of the Russia investigation because Johnson “finally ran out of patience. . ”
“Sure, my committee gave me the authority to try to get everyone to volunteer, but it just did not work,” Johnson told America’s Newsroom. “The FBI is continuing with our requests for documents, which really go back years.”
Johnson added that he had also “sent a summary request to Attorney General [William] Barr, who has actually been great. ”

“The hang-up is within the FBI,” he continued, noting that the FBI in September 2019 “basically reopened all the requests we had for information and we really did not hang … what we see now is dribble and drabs. “
The statement, released Monday by Fox News, required Wray to “produce all records related to the Crossfire Hurricane investigation.”
“This includes, but is not limited to, all records provided or made available to the Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Justice for their review,” the statement said, referring to DOJ Inspector Michael Horowitz’s review of abuse. in connection with the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

The ruling also requests “all records related to requests” to the Administration of General Services or the Office of the Inspector General for the GSA for “presidential transitional registers from November 2016 to December 2017.”
The FBI must deliver these documents to the commission by Aug. 20 at 5 p.m. ET, according to the saga.
On Tuesday, Johnson told “America’s Newsroom” a newly released document President Lindsey Graham, Speaker of the House of Representatives, received by the Department of Justice, “should shake people up.”

Graham, quoting the document, told Fox Business Network’s Sunday Morning Futures this weekend that the FBI raped the First Chamber of Intelligence during a 2018 interview about the investigation into Russian election interference.
‘I mean the fact that a year after the FBI was fully aware of the fact that the Steele case was full of Russian disinformation, they came before the First Chamber of the Intelligence Committee and they gave false briefing that they still had confidence. in the Steele case, ”Johnson said. “This is outside the palace and the FBI needs to get clean.”
“I’m done crazy … Hopefully we can seek advice within the White House and the Attorney General’s office to extract the documents from the FBI,” he continued. “It’s ridiculous.”
Host Sandra Smith asked Johnson if former FBI Director James Comey would be presented hereafter.

“James Comey has a lot to blame for …” Johnson said in response. He has an awful lot of guilt in terms of what all happened. Think of the political nightmare we have been going through for the last three years because of the actions of these individuals. ”
“The public needs to know what happened and people need to be held accountable,” Johnson said.
