“Selling Sunset” stars Mary Fitzgerald en Romain Bonnet draw a rap to their fans when it comes to love … ‘because TMZ’s learned that they actually got LONG before they started their Netflix movie.
TMZs have received a copy of their marriage license and certificate … and it shows that Mary and Romain got married on March 9, 2018 at the Ventura Courthouse. To pay it doc … a deputy commissioner of civil marriages attended the ceremony and named a woman Nicole Young was a witness.
It is super interesting for several reasons. For starters, the 40-year-old high-end broker – married twice before – tied the knot for a third time in 4 months no her divorce from her second husband was finalized.
Second, the Netflix show started filming around July, 2018 … which means Mary and Romain were legally married 4 months before filming began. But, hardcore fans are very conscious in season 1, Romain proposed to Mary while they relaxed and lay in bed.
And one more thing … season 2 was central to Mary’s neighborhood planning her wedding, shopping for a wedding and quests. Her place fell through, and then one of her clients offered his elegant LA home. And, that’s where the TV wedding went down … on October 12, 2019.
Now, it’s possible that Mary and Romain fell in love and raced to court. But they made sure on the show that she took things slowly. She introduced him as her friend and during a 1-year anniversary dinner they talked about children in their future. Romain did not seem completely interested … which is why Mary asked to respond with, “we would probably have to talk about this here if we were thinking about a future together.”
Then there’s this … when Romain met Mary’s employees at Mary’s Chrishell StauseThe combined bday party, the girls grill him about how long the 27-year-old is with Mary. He said a little over a year. The villain of the show, Christine Quinn, then asked Romain if marriage is in her future. Romain played it off as … we’ll see.
Fake drama on a reality show? NOOOOOO !!!!!!!
