Publisher NIS America has announced multiple releases in its wild series of murders and mysteries. Danganronpa will be removed from PlayStation Store in the coming months.
The first title to reach the cut block will be Danganronpa Another episode: Ultra Despair Girls, which can no longer be purchased on PS Vita. This will be followed by additional PS Vita titles. Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: goodbye despair on September 4. Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony to disappear on PS Vita and PS4 on September 25.
NIS America thanked fans for their purchases, but has offered no explanation for the removal. It seems like a strange time for games to disappear, as 2020 has been From Danganronpa highlight year for news and announcements in a decade. It is fully expected (although not confirmed) that Spike Chunsoft will soon republish the removed titles, hopefully at somewhat less surprising prices. It should also be noted that, for now, Danganronpa 1-2 Reload for PS4 it will remain affordable on PlayStation Store.
This weekend we will see Spike Chunsoft launch the latest episode of his behind-the-scenes show Dangan TV, so we may hear more news about the cult series soon.
