■ Update additional features
Reflex of Strength / Gauntlet of Strength
The sculptor’s idols are not only places of healing, but also tools for self-reflection. The Wolf shot down many enemies on his journey for revenge, and by reflecting on these memories, he can gain a greater sense of understanding and pride in his victories.
With this update, you will be able to participate in Reflections of Strength; Return to face any previously defeated boss that can be accessed through any sculptor idol. These reflections can help prepare you for Gauntlets of Strength, one-life challenges that will truly challenge only the bravest … or dumbest warriors.
As by definition of a gauntlet, if the wolf ever dies, it must start again from the beginning. You like a challenge, right?
Change shape
Sculptor’s Idols will also offer the ability to change Wolf’s outfits, with three available for this update, including “Tengu” and “Old Ashina Shinobi”. Two of these sets are unlocked via Gauntlets, while the third is unlocked simply by beating the game once.
All outfits are purely cosmetic in nature: they are accessories to your achievements within Sekiro.
Remains
If you are a new player ready to experiment Sekiro For the first time or if you are preparing to face past challenges once again, expect a new player movement and a text recording system that can help you and your fellow wolves on your journey.
Remnants are recordings of what a player does in the game for up to 30 seconds at a time and are available for use after the game’s tutorial. After a player records their Remnant, whether it’s an epic takedown of an enemy or a flawless demonstration of a difficult movement technique, it can be uploaded along with a written message for other community members to replay. Through these remnants, one could hope that they or others can gain the knowledge and further understanding to overcome their current obstacle. For those looking for the best guide to traverse treacherous areas, or looking for hidden niches or curious holes, these records can be a blessing from the gods.
If a community member observes and then rates a Remnant, the Remnant’s owner will have their HP recovered for free, allowing them to return to the fight faster without the use of a Sculptor’s Idol or consumable items like Healing Gourds.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice It’s now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, and it’s coming to Stadia this fall.
