The latest update to Fortnite Battle Royale had a lot of new things and elements that will change the game. The long-awaited flare gun is finally here. However, its purpose is slightly different from what we expected. On top of that, a new item has been added and a drop-down update station works anywhere.
SypherPK recently made a video about the changes in Fortnite. This had to do explicitly with the map and the water level. It seems that the water level is going down and some new areas are emerging. This is, perhaps, building the story up to a point where Jules comes in.
Weeping Woods, Salty Springs Steamy Stacks – These sank due to the Device event. Steamy is one of the locations that is backing up again. Sypher dropped in there to see the new design and loot, and it looks more or less the same.
Fortnite map is going to see a gradual change
We had been expecting this since the Device event flooded the map. The water level will gradually drop, revealing various areas. Vehicles (cars) will be available for transportation. There are gas stations that have been popping up all over the map; they will be useful. So when it comes to mobility from one place to another, Epic is improving the look.
Sypher also spoke about the benefits that have been given to certain items. One of them, including the firefly jars. Marauders drop rate has also been improved. “The bridge between Pleasant and Frenzy is back.” Therefore, it is clear that as the water falls, the map will become clear.

Update 13.20 is an all-encompassing patch
This is the first phase where the water is finally draining off the map. So it’s pretty sure Epic will reveal more about the map as it gets gradually. Sypher also spoke about the new rare item in the game: The Golden Mushroom gives 100 shields if found.
Epic is putting in a lot of elements that will affect the game in a positive way. It is quite true at this point that the meta-displacement will consider all the different combinations.
