Here’s the deal … Trump’s campaign hit Phil’s hit song at his Des Moines rally earlier this month – and some of the others that followed – – and the singer was royally pissed off.
Phil’s legal team a Stand up and wait Trump’s camp, acquired by TMZ, claims to have chosen the song, which seems to be Phil’s entirely riding the Trump train, which he isn’t.
In the legal doc, Phil says he wants any connection with Trump or his campaign … and with the choice of song he rips the president off for largely highlighting the coronavirus epidemic.

Phil says he doesn’t despise COVID-19 and says Trump is worried about tarnishing his image if he continues to sing at rallies.
He also claims that Trump pulled the same stunt back at the infamous Tulsa rally in June, and did not respond to a previous ceasefire.
Bottom line … Phil’s Trump demands assurances that he will keep his songs off his playlist in the future.
