The new mutants It’s not available yet, and it won’t be for at least another month, but during the movie’s Comic-Con @ Home panel on Thursday, fans got to see something new – the entire first scene from the movie and a new trailer.
New mutants it opens with the well-known Marvel logo, before fading into a black screen, while Danielle Moonstar (Blu Hunt) tells a story about how each person has two bears living inside of them, one good and one bad, yes it’s basically the story of the wolves, but with bears in their place.
After the title card appears, we see Dani and her father escaping from their explosive cabin and running into the snow. Once he saves her, her father returns to help more people, but he is quickly killed by whatever has attacked his home. The movie fades to backtrack again, and Danielle wakes up in a hospital bed, presumably where most of the movie will take place.
From there, the panel moved on to a new trailer, which featured more monsters from the movie than we’ve seen before. It starts with a short narrative that reminds us that the hospital the young mutants are trapped in will show their greatest fear, then we get our clearest look at some strange faceless creatures that seem to be attacking children, especially Illyana Rasputin (Anya Taylor). -Joy). Finally, the trailer reaches its great revelation: a huge demon bear, to which Illyana runs with her unsheathed sword.
Both the new trailer and the short opening scene debuted at the end of the New mutants The Comic-Con panel, in which the cast, including Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, Blu Hunt, and Charlie Heaton, spoke to director Josh Boone about their characters and how excited they were that the film was finally released.
Another good news for New mutants is that technically it was not delayed during the panel. The film’s release date remains August 28 … at least for now. Despite all speculation that the film would receive VOD or Disney Plus treatment, the Comic-Con panel’s announcement was careful to specify that the film will definitely hit theaters … eventually.
