South Dakota’s Governor Kristi Noem opened Wednesday night 3 of the Republican National Convention by accusing America of “founding principles under attack” and declaring that “cities by Democrats in this country are being invaded by violent mobs.”
“The violence is violent. There’s looting, chaos, destruction and murder. People who can flee have fled. But the people who can’t – good, hard-working Americans – are left to fend for themselves, “said Noem.
Named after a 17-year-old pro police officer shot and killed two people during a protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin, which followed the shooting of Jacob Blake police. Blake was shot seven times in the back and may be partially paralyzed.
Name several cities in their comments – Seattle; Portland, Oregon; Washington, DC; and New York – but violent crime is on the rise in cities around the country, including those run by Republicans.
Call for more unrest if President Donald Trump is not re-elected.
““It took 244 years to build this great nation – flaws and all – but we stand to lose it in a small fraction of that time as we continue on the path taken by the Democrats and their radical supporters,” she said.
