Houston Dash and Chicago Red Stars Face off for the right to be crowned NWSL Challenge Cup champion. The final begins live on CBS and CBS All Access at 12:30 pm ET at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah.
Both teams come from semifinal matches where each of them was able to get rid of their scoring problems. The Dash eliminated Portland Thorns FC thanks to a single goal from the tournament MVP and Golden Boot Contender Rachel Dalywhile the Red Stars defeated Sky Blue FC in a high-scoring affair that ended 3-2. Rachel Hill and Savannah McCaskill scored in the win, and Bianca St. Georges found the back of the net for the first time in her professional career and only in her second NWSL appearance.
Another interesting story to keep in mind: Red Stars forward Kealia Watt and Dash defender Katie Naughton will face their old teams for the first time since the two were involved in an exchange in January.
