Satellite images show Phoenix and Talent, Oregon, almost wiped out by wildfire

A huge burn scar is cut in parts of Talent and Phoenix, involving about 11,000 people. Wounded terrain, found in images of Maxer Technologies, closes Interstate 5.

Talent officials said in a news release that the Alameda Drive wildfire erupted by Tuesday, “damaging extensive property with damage to hundreds of constructions.”

It said about 600 homes and 100 other structures were destroyed.

“This could be the biggest loss of human life and property in a wildfire in the history of our state,” Oregon Gov. Kate Brown said Wednesday.

Phoenix and talent are “significantly destroyed,” he said.

Almost everything on the north side of the I-5 overpass in Phoenix seems to have burned out.

The wildfires seem to have slipped between Interstate and State Highway 99, with mobile home parks suffering hell.

Rather than zooming in just north of Phoenix Road, everything seems equipped except for a few industries.

Mobile home parks on both sides of Highway 99 feel the constant fire damage.

In Talent, just four miles south, another mobile home park along Highway 99 appears damaged.

The first responders in the genius, city employees and others worked Tuesday and night to get people out and protect property.

The area is still dangerous due to numerous hot spots and down power lines, city officials said.

The state dashboard showed that the fire had not been contained by noon on Thursday and had burned over 100 acres.
