As noted, NXT’s Great American Bash: Night 1 Episode beat AEW Fyter Fest: Night 1 in total audience this week with 792,000 viewers (+ 1% from last week) on the US network, beating the 748,000 viewers (+ 18%) rated by Dynamite on TNT by 6%, according to Showbuzz Daily.
The main event of NXT This week Io Shirai received help from RAW champion Asuka to achieve a victory over Sasha Banks. The show also featured a fight between Roderick Strong and Dexter Lumis, Rhea Ripley against Robert Stone and Aliyah, and a # 1 four-out elimination fight between Candice LeRae, Mia Yim, Dakota Kai and Tegan Knox.
With the show’s overall success, Sasha Banks turned to Twitter for some credit for the ratings victory. She even referred to herself as “The Draw” in her message.
“The draw … but you already knew it!” Sasha wrote.
Banks is slated to take on Asuka one-on-one for the Women’s RAW Championship in Extreme Rules on July 19.
