Sarah Cooper Has A TV Show In The Works At CBS

2020 has been a whole year for most of us, but for TikTok and Twitter’s favorite Trump lip-syncer Sarah Cooper, things have looked pretty good. According to The Hollywood Reporter, CBS has developed a one-camera comedy series based on Cooper’s second book, published in 2018, How to be successful without feelings for men. The show will focus on “three women at different stages in their careers at a male-dominated company helping each other navigate modern gender politics in their careers and in their personal lives.” Cooper will write alongside Cindy Chupack (Modern family, I’m dying here). CBS landed the project after something THR calls it “a highly competitive process, with multiple network bids.”

‘Sarah is a perfect example of’ preparation hits chance. “Her Trump-lip-sync fell on a laugh-hungry nation, but even before she was a household name, she wrote books that showed her keen eye for the absurd,” Chupack said of the project, according to THR. ‘I’m glad I’m working with them to adapt How to be successful without feelings for men in a fresh, funny, subversive comedy about modern sexual politics. ”

In addition to the CBS series, Cooper is set to star in her own Netflix comedy special, which was announced on August 12th. Sarah Cooper: Everything’s Fine, the special will “have vignettes focusing on issues related to politics, race, gender, class and other topics.” Everything is beautiful has also added a solid team: Natasha Lyonne will be direct and executive producing alongside SNL Alums Maya Rudolph and Paula Pell, alongside Dan Powell, who previously produced the (very funny) Netflix sketch comedies I think you should leave en Astronomy Club.
