It’s been days since Sushant Singh Rajput last breathed and fans still don’t believe it. The actor was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14, 2020, and reportedly committed suicide. Amidst this close friend of Sushant’s, Sandip Ssingh once again opened up about the heartbreaking incident and expressed disappointment at people’s reaction to the death of actor MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.

In his recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Sandip stated that he is surprised by the fact that people created the drama with Sushant’s disappearance, something the late actor never liked. Recalling the day of Sushant’s funeral, Sandip claimed that he had received calls and messages from “powerful people” asking why they were not invited to the funeral. “People created a drama out of his death, he didn’t like those things. I was about to take a shower after arriving home after the last rites and I got some phone calls and messages wondering why I didn’t invite them to the funeral! I received messages “we are powerful people, you have not invited us.” I mean, what goes on in the minds of these people? Shocking! “He added.

Sandip further stated that many people in the industry, including Ekta Kapoor, attended the funeral despite the controversy and did not need an invitation for it. Ekta Kapoor had been drawn into controversy but she was there alone. Shraddha Kapoor, Randeep Hooda, they all came despite the rains and cried there, they didn’t need an invitation to a funeral. More than her death, the things that people are doing hurt me, “she added.

The filmmaker also urged people not to disturb Sushant’s family in this painful situation. He said, “Please understand your family’s pain and leave them alone.” Furthermore, he also said that although much has been said about the state of the relationship of the deceased actor, about him losing seven movies, his financial status, these are ‘our assumptions’ and people should not react to this, instead, wait for that the truth be revealed and pray for the soul of Sushant.
