Samsung Lets Note20 + / Ultra Design Slip

We have not yet received any official announcements from Samsung regarding the Note20 series as of yet, hoping that the company will only reveal the new series of phones sometime in early or mid-August if the previous release dates are any indication. However, in a surprising error, the company has managed to publicly upload two images of the product of the upcoming Note20 + or Ultra (name uncertain) on one of its Ukrainian pages.

While we generally don’t report unofficial leaks or speculations as part of our editorial standards, a first-party bug like this is largely an exception to the rule.

The leak shows the seemingly bigger sibling of the Note20 series as it features the full camera housing and apparently the same modules as the Galaxy S20 Ultra. There has been an aesthetic change in design, as the cameras are now accented by a ring element around the lenses, making the modules appear more consistent with each other, despite the fact that there are still lenses of different sizes together with the rectangular periscope zoom module. The images show the actual depth of the ring elements, so they can be extended in three dimensions.

The new gold / bronze color also marks a return for Samsung for such a metallic option.

We hope the Note20 series is a minor hardware upgrade over the S20 devices, with the most defining feature naturally being the phone’s built-in S-Pen stylus.
