Samsung, Give us more flat screens

A new Samsung device will be unveiled this week via third-party renderings, including the Galaxy S20 FE or “Fanedition.” Expected to be a bit competitively priced at around $ 750 in the US, the device takes many of the best features from the Galaxy S20 line, but is working on redesigning others to make it a more affordable smartphone.

For specs, the Galaxy S20 FE is expected to have a flat display with a size of between 6.4 and 6.5 inches, Snapdragon 865 processor, 6GB + RAM, up to 512GB of storage (that option would come with 8GB of RAM) , IP68 rating, as well as a custom triangular rear camera system on the rear. Unlike the Galaxy S20 lineup, this Fan Edition would feature a 12-megapixel main sensor, 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, plus an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.

One major highlight of the phone, even with its less expensive price tag, is reported to be Samsung’s recording of 120Hz refresh rate for the flat panel display, which is of interest to us. For software, this device is expected to launch with One UI 2.5 (same as the Galaxy Note 20) on top of Android 10.

The phone is reported to launch in late October. No official Samsung has come across this phone as a US launch, but we will keep you posted.
