The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 has been confirmed prematurely. But it’s not courtesy of a tech leaker, but rather an accidental post on one of Samsung’s support pages.
A support page for the Galaxy Tab S7 model number was posted on the Samsung Germany website, which GSMArena calculated as Samsung’s next tablet thanks to the cross-reference of the model number with a recent Geekbench leak. This not only further confirms the existence of the Galaxy Tab S7, but would suggest that it is on its way sooner rather than later.
The support page has now gone offline. But it seems that Samsung was a bit slow since the accidental post was discovered by Samsung tech followers.
Since the model number can be linked to the Geekbench listing, it pretty much confirms that the Galaxy Tab S7 will make use of Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 865 Plus chip. That chip is also slated to power the Samsung Galaxy Note 20, suggesting that Samsung’s next flagship phone and tablet will be great mobile powers.
And the Galaxy Tab S7 will need a lot of power as it will lock the horns with the iPad Pro 2020. The Apple tablet uses a Bionic A12Z chip, which offers very impressive performance based on our own tests.
However, the Galaxy Tab S7 could have an ace up its sleeve in the form of 5G connectivity. While far from being widespread at the moment, people who want a super fast cellular connection while on the go will be delighted.
Based on leaks we’ve seen so far, the Galaxy Tab S7 is expected to have a design that’s not too far off from its rival iPad Pro, featuring models with 11-inch and 12.4-inch displays with slim bezels.
Along with a powerful on-chip system and an improved S Pen, the Galaxy Tab S7 is shaping up to be one of the best tablets of 2020, but we’ll have to wait for its release, probably in August, before we know for sure what it will bring to the table. Samsung’s flagship tablet.
