Samsung Galaxy Note 20 5G battery and screen size are leaking at the FCC

For now, it is clear that the Galaxy Note 20 will be available in both 5G and LTE-only models, with the 4G version seemingly targeting the global market and Exynos sports processors, rather than U.S. operators.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 5G finally got its certification list on the FCC under the model name SM-981B in disguise and among the myriad of test reports that MySmartPrice analyzed, one can observe the actual dimensions of the device, the battery model number and the brick charging specifications.

Namely, the listed dimensions of the 161mm x 75.2mm Galaxy Note 20 are more compact than the 6.39 x 3.04 x 0.31 inch (162.3 x 77.2 x 7.9mm) size of the Note 10+ but much larger than the Note 10.

Since the Note 20 was rumored to come with a 6.4 “display, this size doesn’t really indicate a more refined design, with the top and bottom bezels shaved off in addition to those already slim on the 2019 Note models. Now, though, Now, the FCC indicates that the Note 20 has a screen diagonal of “166mm”, or a screen of approximately 6.53 “, which is slightly larger than previously rumored.

The next in line is the Note 20 battery, denoted with EB-BN980ABY in the FCC, as previously rumored. Initially, its size was said to be 4000 mAh, which is much larger than the 3500 mAh unit in Note 10, but the last tip is that it could actually be 4300 mAh even, keeping our hopes that the battery of the phone with 1080p screen is high.

The phone will still come with Samsung’s proven and true 18W EP-TA800 power adapter for fast enough charging, while the FCC reveals that Note 20 Ultra 5G will arrive with Samsung’s new 25W charger.

  • Galaxy Note 20 Plus display specifications: 6.87 “3096 x 1444, 497 PPI, 19.3: 9 aspect ratio, 120Hz with LTPO refresh rate
  • Galaxy Note 20 Plus Battery Capacity: 4500 mAh, 25 W Charge
