Sam Fisher of Splinter Cell Is Rainbow Six Siege’s Next Operator in ‘Operation Shadow Legacy’

It’s official: Splinter Cell’s Sam Fisher is one of them Rainbow Six Siege’s following Operators.

He is one of the main liners for the next season of the game, revealed to be called Operation Shadow Legacy. There’s a bright spot of confusion in the reveal teaser that Ubisoft has released, as it lists two names: Sam Fisher and ‘Zero’. Zero could be the second operator of Shadow Legacy, or it could be the code name that Fisher will use in-game, because ‘Sam Fisher’ does not quite fit names like ‘Tachanka’ or ‘Rook’.

Its full reveal, and more of what Operation Shadow Legacy will entail, is scheduled for Sunday, August 16 on the game’s official Twitch channel. If lies are to be believed back in June (they are right Sam, and his costume is just like the leaks suggested), his main gadget may be a small sticky camera, not very different from the one in Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.

This will be the first time Sam has been playable in a large, non-mobile game since 2013’s Splinter cell: black list. He has appeared in chamber scrolls all over the place, and appeared in Ghost Recon: Wildlands a letter Breakpoint, and also make a smaller comedy Far Cry: New Dawn, after leaving written notes for the player to find.

We may not see a whole new one Splinter sel play for a while though, if Splinter Cell: Condemnation en Blacklist’s creative director Maxime Beland recently resigned from Ubisoft after multiple allegations of harassment were made against him, as well as against a number of other Ubisoft employees.

Sam’s full reveal as part of Operation Shadow Legacy is scheduled for August 16.
