MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Some employees of Surley Brewing Company are accusing the company of union busting.
Dozens of people rallied outside Sully Beer Hall in Minneapolis on Sunday afternoon. This comes after it was announced on Wednesday that they would close the hall indefinitely on November 2 due to COVID-19 financial losses.
Announcement of the end Some of Surley’s employees said they considered merging, just two days later. Employees say it is revenge, but Suri says their plans to close the beer hall were put off weeks ago.

“A lot of people found out on social media that we would be shutting down indefinitely. I think now instead of just shutting down and shutting down completely, we should take part in the conversation to try and make it better, ”Alinder said.
The statement sent to WCCO on Sunday:
We respect freedom of expression and the rights surrounding union activity. The people at the front are exercising those rights and doing so peacefully and constructively.
When it happens for a few hours, we always pay attention to what it has always been like: to give our guests and our staff a great experience and a delicious beer in a safe, fun environment.
