Sacha Baron Cohen is believed to have been behind a stunt at a conservative rally in Olympia, Washington.
The 48-year-old actor is said to have made attendees sing about the “Wuhan Flu” while dressing up as a country music singer at the right-wing March for Our Rights 3 rally.
In the footage from the event, the character is seen on stage, believed to be the Borat actor, wearing a straw hat and denim overalls, and his face was also covered in fake facial hair.
The song he sang on stage contained lyrics about how they should “cut” journalists “like the Saudis do” when referring to Jamal Khashoggi’s death in 2018 and referring to the Chinese as “sushi eaters.”
Other lyrics the joker sang included: “Dr. Fauci, what are we going to do? Inject him with the Wuhan flu … Hillary Clinton, what are we going to do? Lock her up like we used to do.”
In the video, the audience is heard cheering and clapping as they sing.
The epic prank is believed to have been for his television show Who Is America, but that has yet to be confirmed.
A local adviser named James Connor Blair took to Twitter after the show to say that the safety of the Ali G star “blocked event organizers from taking him off stage or taking power from the generator.”
He criticized the song as “racist and” hateful “and stated that the members of the crowd who joined” DO NOT represent the event, they are the organizers or the vast majority of those who attended. “
The councilman also claimed that the crowd turned to Sacha and security took him away in an ambulance.
The demonstration was reportedly organized by the Washington Three Percenters.
The 3 percent reference is an unsubstantiated claim, only 3 percent of members of the American colonies fought in the War of Independence, according to TMZ.
Mirror Online has reached out to a Sacha representative for comment.
