With Jim Carrey (kindly) deciding to step down if President-elect Joe Biden, Saturday Night Live No time wasted in introducing his successor in the final episode of the 2020 show.
“I’m sure all Americans are excited to see me, a guy who spread covid everywhere, get vaccinated first,” Mike Pence of Beck Bennett said at the top of a cold open sketch. He assured the American people that the shot was “completely safe and harmless, and that is why President Trump has refused to take it or talk about it.”
Maya Rudolph’s Kamala Harris joins him on stage after the director tries to inoculate her back. “How did you get into the White House?” Pence asked.
“I got more votes,” she replied cheerfully. When he started questioning the election results, he slapped him on the head.
Then came the moment of truth when Harris introduced the president-elect and the real S.N.L. The cast member used the cane before putting Willie Wonka-style out the sourcesolt entrance. Yes, the job has been assigned to Alex Moffett, perhaps known for his always hilarious Eric Trump impression.
When Pence noticed that he looked “different,” Moffett’s bid explained, “Yes. I’m like Colonel Sanders. Every time you look at me, I’m a different person. There’s a good chance that by this time next year, I will be Mario Lopez. Now, where are the vaccines? ”
“I just want to say one thing to the American people. You are about to make a real leader again. You will have the best cabinet in the history of American politics. ‘
“And I’ll make sure it never clarifies what it means by the variety seen,” Harris added. “That America, my Christmas is present with you.” When Biden started talking about Kwanza, he quickly took her off the stage.
Yet at least, it wasn’t the funniest impression of all time, but it was definitely a less unnecessary manicure than Carrie and its number is likely to be much higher over the next four years.
