Ryan Reynolds blocks ‘X-Men’ charity meeting [Video]

The X-Men gathered over the weekend for a charity gathering called Zoom, but they encountered an uninvited guest.

Forever the thorn in Hugh Jackman’s side, Ryan Reynolds appeared to crash the event, which was part of the Global Goal: Unite For Our Future to raise funds.

“LOTS of timelines,” says Reynolds, also known as Deadpool. “It is like a summary of Notts Landing.”

The massively star-studded online concert included remote performances by Justin Bieber, Jennifer Hudson, Miley Cyrus, Usher, Coldplay and Shakira, with Dwayne Johnson performing presenter duties.

Also featured were the original Broadway cast of Hamilton, Billy Porter and characters like Emmanuel Macron, Melinda Gates and Angela Merkel.

The event, which aired over the weekend, was designed to raise awareness of the need for a global response to the coronavirus pandemic and to ensure “the development and equitable distribution of COVID-19 treatments for all.”
