It turns out that the 2020 pandemic is providing parents with even more handy souvenirs to stow away in the future and show off to friends of their children. On her Instagram, Blake Lively posted a selfie in which she and Ryan Reynolds both wear face masks decorated by their young daughters.

“We will not embarrass them at all in high school,” Lively wrote under a photo of her and her husband showing off the masks.

In a second photo, Lively shared that her daughters had decorated the masks with a kit by The Craft Studio NYC. “This is not an advertisement,” she wrote. “These kits are awesome. Also love that @craftstudionyc is owned by a mom.”

This artwork was probably done by the couple’s two eldest daughters, James (5) and Inez (3). Their youngest, Betty, for whom Taylor Swift named one of her last songs, is not even a year old and probably has no markers or brush holders yet. But if her sisters have this kind of talent, she will definitely take it. Let’s just hope she doesn’t have to decorate face masks in a pandemic by the time she’s her age.

Ryan and Blake do not often share personal photos on social media, so this is a rare moment for them. Recently, they both talked about the Blake Lives Matter movement and the way they plan to raise their daughters.

“We are ashamed that in the past we have allowed ourselves to be uninformed about how deep-rooted systematic racism is. We have taught our children differently than the way our parents taught us … We are committed to raising our children , so they never grow up with this crazy pattern and so they will do their best to never cause a pain conscious or unconscious pain, “Lively wrote on Instagram on May 31; Reynolds posted the same message. “It’s the least we can do to honor not only George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and Eric Garner, but all the black men and women who were killed when a camera did not roll.”

It seems that the girls from Reynolds-Lively are well on their way to being thoughtful people. When can the rest of us expect to get our custom masks from James and Inez?
