Ryan Hampton She was selected Wednesday as the 24th pick in the NBA Draft – but it’s her dad who’s going viral for throwing hats!

With the NBA draft virtually declining due to the epidemic, ESPN had cameras in all of the player’s homes to capture life-changing moments.

The Milwaukee Bucks were the 24th pick – so, when RJ’s name was called, one of the kids celebrating with Hampton grabbed Bucks’ hat to give to the Hoops star.

RJ’s dad snatched up, snatched his hat and set fire to the room … asking this question, why? !!?!?!

Here’s the explanation … Bucks traded the 24th pick in the New Orleans Pelicans, which then traded picks in the Denver Nuggets.

So, even though Milwaukee was initially the 24th pick and technically Hampton was selected, it’s clear he’s not going there.

Dad knew the backstory clearly and Bucks was trying to get his son off his head – the mission was accomplished (with glee!).

Don’t worry, RJ finally got the right hat. Congratulations!
