2nd UPDATE, 11:47 AM: Solstice Studios is looking to launch Deranged in August now with the reopening of AMC next month, but they are not yet scheduling a definite date as I understand it. They want to wait and see where Warner Bros. is. Beginning lands and if Disney moves Mulan outside of August 21 (some sources believe that the latter will not happen). It wouldn’t be shocking if Beginning begins its theatrical deployment, at least in the United States, in the post-Labor Day corridor of September 11, where Warners has had great success with the That movies and The nun.
Solstice is committing to theater, which is the philosophy of the new studio. There will be no select theater-PVOD strategy with this Russell Crowe anger film. Just big screen. The studio always had a plan to play. Deranged without New York and Los Angeles initially in the mix, and unfortunately, we will have to wait a while for those cities to reopen their multiplexes.

PREVIOUS UPDATE, JUNE 26: As expected with Beginningbig move to August 12, and Mulanuntil August 21, first theatrical release at Solstice Studios Deranged It will now open on July 31. If Sony / Tri-Star’s Broken Hearts Gallery moves to August 7, Deranged It will then be the first broad release for exhibition after being closed since mid-March. Once again, AMC and Regal are not expected to be open in mid-July with the increase in COVID-19 cases and the New York and Los Angeles markets are not yet open. We are waiting for official news from AMC and Regal. We hear that Cinemark continues to open 75 theaters next weekend.
Deranged It was initially expected to open during the Independence Day leg next weekend, but then moved to July 10 after Beginning it jumped from July 17 to 31.
There are also Lionsgate’s Antebellum on August 21, sharing space with Mulan I have to imagine that the title moves.
So far, the immediate ‘summer’ schedule for wide releases looks like this below. Who says August has to be a bad month at the box office?

PREVIOUSLY, JUNE 12: Solstice Studios had said it was not going to move Deranged Yes Beginning He moved, but the company had second thoughts and is now skipping Russell Crowe’s rage movie from July 1 to 10.
That means there will be no movie during the weekend of July 4.
I heard that AMC is planning an opening in early July, after Independence Day, and could link to Deranged Hopefully the other circuits won’t delay their reopening dates due to the new delay in the summer launch schedule encouraged by Beginning from July 17 to July 31. However, director Christopher Nolan will have his third weekend date in July: Warner Bros. will have a reissue of the tenth anniversary of Start on that weekend
