Rush Limboho says there has been progress in cancer

Rush Limboho, host of the Conservative talk radio show, says he has suffered a major setback in his fight against advanced lung cancer.

Limboff, 69, said recent scans showed “some progression of cancer”. It’s “not dramatic, but it’s the wrong direction,” he told listeners on Monday, according to a transcript he posted on his website.

The host said Monday that he has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.

Feb In February he made the first revelation that he was ill. The next day, President Donald Trump honored Limboff with the President’s National Medal of Freedom, the country’s highest civilian honor, during a State of the Union address.

Limboff said he was reluctant to talk more about his illness on the air, because “in challenging times I don’t just go through hardships alone.”

“I want to emphasize here that I know that many of you are experiencing the same thing. If it’s not lung cancer, it’s kind of cancer. If it’s not you, it’s really close to someone. “It’s not a disease, it’s something,” he said on Monday.

Limboff said that before the recent scans that showed some progress, “the scans showed that we had inactivated the cancer.”

“So we have to tweak the treatment plan, which we did, and hope to keep the chemotherapy drugs at bay for as long as possible,” Limboh said. “Now the idea is where to put it or maybe reduce it again. We’ve shown that it’s possible.”
