Rumors for the Day:

  • Dave Meltzer notes on Wrestling Observer Radio that almost everyone in WWE has reached out to AEW at some point with interest in the company of some kind. He also said that Roman Reigns is one of the people who does not have that.
  • The early speculation is SummerSlam will have booked multiple matches to open a rematch that ate a week later Payback.
  • Daniel Cormier still has comment options in pro wrestling now that he is retired from MMA, per the Observer.
  • There’s some talk of WWE bringing back “Saturday Night’s Main Event” in one form or another, as PW Insider notes that the company has filed trademark applications for it.
  • WWE Network News notes that episodes of Superstars from 1993 is today added to the WWE Network.
