RUMOR: Fans think they have found an official Twitter account for Super Mario’s 35th anniversary celebrations

Rumors have long circulated now that Nintendo is going to renew / relaunch multiple Mario titles to celebrate the character’s 35th anniversary. Nintendo has yet to confirm any of this, but that hasn’t stopped fans from trying to unearth details. That is what leads us to today’s discovery.

Several fans have come across a new Twitter account that they believe is linked to Nintendo. The account, @ SuperMario35th, was created in March 2020. The first rumors of Mario’s 35th anniversary celebrations appeared on the 30th, leaving just one day for fans to make an account to trick people. A small possibility indeed, but a possibility nonetheless.

Now this is where things get a little more interesting. Fans have been using Twitter’s ‘I forgot my password’ feature to get some details on which email account is associated with the Twitter ID. As you can see, the email is mostly blocked, but it would fit with a nintendo.co.jp email. That data only gives fans a little more hope that this Twitter account is the real deal.

As always, nothing is official until Nintendo comes out and announces it. If this Mario content is real, let’s hope Nintendo starts announcing it soon!
