Updated zones and a train
According to reliable information shared by Eurogamer and Video Games Chronicle, this year’s Call of Duty game will be teased within the Battle Royale giant from Activision Call of Duty: Warzone. This is being done through various map updates, and VGC now declares that these revisions will continue with season five.
The site claims that the Verdansk map will be updated in early August with a train accommodation loot running the map along with the opening of the stadium area to include an interior. The former is already an Apex Legends feature, while the latter will provide players with another location to fight for first place. This kind of teasing started in May when it was reported that Call of Duty: Warzone bunkers hinted at a Cold War scenario for the next iteration of the highly successful franchise. At the time, Eurogamer reported that the game in question would be titled Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, but more recently, a shortened version of the name was leaked through key art.
Regardless of what name Activision decides, it becomes clear that Call of Duty: Warzone will play a major role in its reveal with the next update coming in about a month. Are you still playing Battle Royale shooter? Enter the comments below.
