Meghan Markle was not defended against stories about her when she was an older royalty because some of them were true, it had been claimed.

The Duchess of Sussex has said she felt “unprotected” by the royal family from the stream of stories about her, in court documents that emerged on Thursday, so her friends went to People magazine to defend her.

But The times She has reported that Kensington Palace was unable to defend her because some of the stories were true.

According to the newspapers, the duchess was unhappy about the stories about her deteriorating relationship with the palace staff, as well as the comments made about her by her half-sister Samantha Grant.

Referring to reports that a palace employee had been crying over Meghan’s lawsuit, a source told the Times: “The stories were a drop in the ocean compared to what was happening.”

The source also told the newspaper that the “institution” for which Meghan felt unprotected refers to the media team rather than members of the Royal Family.

Meghan, 38, is also reported to have wanted something to be done about the interviews her half-sister was conducting, but the palace is unlikely to become involved with them.
