Rosie O’Donnell has ‘regrets’ for Ellen DeGeneres

O’Donnell hosted her own from 1996 until it ended in 2002.

During her appearance on Wednesday’s episode of the “Busy Philipps Doing Her Best” podcast, O’Donnell talks about why she never appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

“You know how Ellen surprises everyone?” O’Donnell said. “I never did that show because I’m afraid she’s going to cry … scare me and give me a heart attack.”

O’Donnell talked about how when it comes to appearing in a talk show, “You can not fake your essence.”

“That’s why I feel sorry for Ellen [DeGeneres], right? “said O’Donnell.” I have regrets, though, you know, I hear the stories and I understand it. I think she has some social discomfort. “

“I think I, by knowing her for so many years, have my own history with her,” O’Donnell added.

DeGeneres has recently come under fire after allegations that her show promoted a toxic work environment.
Some celebs have come out in support of DeGeneres, including singer and “American Idol” judge Katy Perry.
