Roc’s Place clients potentially exposed to coronavirus – WAOW


MARATHON CO., Wis. (WAOW) – The Marathon County Health Department received a notification that a person who tested positive for COVID-19 went to Roc’s Place in Wausau during the infectious period.

The health department and Roc’s Place owner Tim Nawrocki are releasing the joint statement as there were clients who may have had close contact with the individual and could not be identified.

Roc’s Place customers may have been exposed to the virus on the following dates:

  • Monday, July 13 from 6 pm to 2 am
  • Tuesday July 14 from 6 pm to 2 am
  • Wednesday, July 15 from 7 pm to 2 am
  • Thursday, July 16 from 7 pm to 2 am

The Marathon County Health Department is encouraging everyone who was present on these dates to manage symptoms for 14 days since their last visit to Roc’s Place.

“We have been proactive and closed Roc’s Place as soon as we realized this concern,” said Tim Nawrocki, owner of Roc’s Place. “We have cooperated with the Health Department and have completed a thorough cleaning and disinfection of Roc’s Place in accordance with the guidance provided. We will continue to maintain this proactive approach because the health and safety of our employees and customers are of utmost importance to the Roc family. “

Roc’s Place was cleaned and disinfected on July 18 and 19, and reopened on Thursday.

The health department does not release any more information about the person who tested positive for their privacy.
