Rockland County had to issue citations with possible fines on Wednesday to persuade eight people infected with coronavirus at a party to meet contact trackers, The Journal News reported.
The eight partygoers, all in their 20s, attended a larger gathering on June 17 where the host already had symptoms of COVID-19, according to The Journal News. Despite testing positive, they declined to speak to the health department until threatened with fines of $ 2,000 a day.
