EXCLUSIVE: Republican National Committee chair Ronna McDaniel claimed that the GOP will ‘drown’ the Democrats at the DNC convention next week with its rapid response strategy and campaign on the ground in the battlefield states.
In an exclusive interview with Fox News Friday, McDaniel exemplified the RNC’s plans during the Democratic convention, saying Republicans have a “multiple proposition.”
TRUMP TO CAMPAIGN IN SWINGING STATES IN DEMOCRATIC CONVENTION
Trump Victory, the common field tension between the RNC and the Trump campaign, plans next week to view more than 2,500 field battles in the country, including the Trump Victory Leadership Initiative, voter contact training and voter registration, MAGA meetings, viewing parties and other volunteer events.
“We’ll have a quick response every day,” McDaniel said. ‘The president will be in Wisconsin. Joe Biden will not be, but the president will be there. ”
The president will campaign next week in major general election campaigns in the field, holding events in Minnesota and Wisconsin on Monday and Arizona on Tuesday.
While the Trump campaign did not announce the president’s trip for next Thursday, campaign officials confirmed to Fox News that Trump is expected to visit Scranton, Pa. – the city where Biden was born and spent his young years. The trip would have to come hours before Biden is scheduled to address his presidential nomination, which will be the biggest speech of his career in politics in half a century.
McDaniel said that President Trump makes the point that “we can open our country, we can do it in a safe and secure way, we can get out and talk to people, social distance, wear masks and do the things we do.” is told to do. ”
She added: ‘We need to start working. We need to start living again. And Joe Biden and the Democrats said we should be locked up in our basement forever, and that’s just not realistic. ”
WHO SPEAKS AND WHEN AT THE DEMOCRATIC CONVENTION
She added: “We will knock on a million doors with our volunteers next week, and Joe Biden and the Democrats will knock on zero doors.”
The RNC said it has “1.9 million volunteers” and is on track to “overcome the 2.2 million that the broad-based Obama field operation had in 2012.”
To kick off DNC Week, the RNC said it was launching TheRealJoe.com, a website designed to “expose Joe Biden’s disastrous record, hypocrisy and blatant vision for America.”
“It’s going to be a big week for Republicans, and we’ll be sketching the DNC during their convention, just to join our convention, that’s going to be really exciting,” she said.
The Democratic National Committee announced that its convention will be largely virtual, and will be held in Milwaukee, from Monday, August 17 to 20.
“We’re going to do new week campaign,” McDaniel said. “And we will not give the Democrats any ground under their convention.”
She added: “They may have a virtual reality show with their Hollywood A-list celebrities and their big tech giants from Silicon Valley, but we’re going out with the real people of America, and talking about why they should choose Donald again. Trump. ”
Meanwhile, McDaniel said she was ‘surprised’ that sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., Accepted the offer of former Vice President Joe Biden to be his running mate.
“I’m surprised that Kamala Harris agreed to be on the Biden ticket, considering she called him a racist, sexist and some other things in the racist process,” she said. “I think I would automatically exclude her from wanting to tp-run with Joe Biden – if she really believed those things about him.”
McDaniel went on to say that Harris “represents the most radical left-wing Progressive Democrat party we’ve ever seen.”
“I think she’s an extreme, bad choice for Joe Biden,” McDaniel said. “And she will not resonate in the heart of the country.”
Meanwhile, McDaniel said she felt it was “important” for U.S. attorney John Durham to complete his investigation before the November election, just hours after the first criminal prosecutors appeared in his case.
‘We’ve been waiting a long time. And it’s unfortunate that it took years to discover the abuse of the Obama administration, not only in the FISA warning, spying on the Trump campaign, but also the deliberate decision to go after Michael Flynn who “It went to the highest levels, even to Joe Biden,” she said. “And we do not want this to happen in our country. Let an administration say you will be spying and harming the campaign of our political opponents. I think this has not received enough attention. And I do not think the American people recognize how real this was to me. ‘
She added: “And I hope we get more and more of these revelations and what we see from John Durham, more of his accusations come out as we get closer to the elections, because we need to know this before November. I find it important. ‘
McDaniel’s remarks come after Durham accused former FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith of making false statements, after Clinesmith was referred for potential prosecution by the Office of the Attorney General’s Office of Justice, which published its own review. of the Russia investigation conducted.
Specifically, Inspector General Clinesmith accused, albeit not by name, of exchanging an email about former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page saying he was “no source” for another government agency. Page said he was a source for the CIA. The DOJ relied on that assertion because it submitted a third and final renewal application in 2017 to pull off Page under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.
Clinesmith is being prosecuted in federal court in Washington and is expected to plead guilty to one count of making a false statement, his lawyer Justin Shur told The Associated Press.
