Riverside County added more than 1,500 confirmed cases of coronavirus over the weekend as the county’s COVID-19 death toll grew to 21 on Monday, August 10.
The province has now dropped 41,983, up 3.8% from Friday, August 7th. Deaths are now up to 820.

Cases: 41,983, up from 40,452 on Thursday, August 6th
Deaths: 820, from 779 Thursday
Hospitalizations: 373 Saturday, August 8 (last update), down from 382 Friday; Suspected patients: 77 Saturday, down from 105 Friday
Patients for intensive care unit: 118 Saturday – no change of Friday; Suspected patients: 13 Saturday, down from 14 Friday
Recoveries: 21,898, up from 21,121 Thursday
Skilled nurses: Population: 1,200 as of Saturday; dead: 179. Staff: 936
Steel prisons in Riverside County: 39 active cases in custody Monday
County jails: 313 cases with 285 recurrences
Tests performed: 403,340, up from 382,616 Thursday
