Riverside County reports 696 new cases & 26 deaths; Hospitalization continues to decline – KESQ

Fall is changing today

There have been 696 new cases of coronavirus reported since new Wednesday cases of coronavirus across Riverside County. This brings the total amount of cases to 44,679.

The province has been reporting lower-than-expected case increases since July 29 due to glitch with the state’s CalREDIE system.

State Health Officer Dr Mark Ghaly said Monday that the problem has been removed and test results will be filtered to counties for processing in the next few days.

Jose Arballo Jr., official of the public information, confirmed that today the case increase is part of the backlog. The province expected her to be picked up yesterday.

Provincial officials have stated that once the problem is fixed, there will likely be larger case increases.

The issue did not affect the hospitalization and death of the province.
