Manchester United are monitoring Kieran Tripier as Ole Gunnar targets right-back competition for solicitor Aaron Van-Bissaca.
Wa-n-Bisaka has made all the starts this season except for the Red Devils game, which has been a consistent performer for the 23-year-old Solskjિયr side.
But United boss Solskjઅr has a few other options as a defender’s cover, along with Tim Fosu-Mensah, the club’s only other senior right-back.
And the manager weighs the sword for Atletico Madrid and England’s S Tripper, according to The Telegraph.
The publication reports that the Norwegian will wait until the summer for the tripper instead of walking in the January transfer window.
The 30-year-old will enter the final year of his Atletico contract after the end of this season – so it will be the best time for him to land at a knockdown price.
Tripier is in his second season with the La Liga Giants after joining Tottenham from a surprisingly m 20 million switch last year.
In addition to providing competition and cover for the Van-Bissaca, Tripier will offer the Solskjજરr a different option on the stripes.
The former Spurs man has more of an aggressive full back than Van-Bisca, whose one-on-one defense has been impressive this season.
The United man showed his worth when he stopped West Ham from doubling their lead in the first half of Saturday’s Premier League clash at Upton Park.
With his side heading towards Tomas Sosek’s goal, Van-Bisaka made a hash of clearance, giving Jarrod Bowen a clear run over goalkeeper Dean Henderson.
But the defender was brilliant in rejecting forward Pace Hammers – and it proved to be a timely intervention, as United fought back to win 3-1 thanks to goals from Paul Pogba, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford in the second half.
The win briefly put the Red Devils in the top four of the Premier League, although they dropped to fifth after Leicester’s win over Sheffield United on Sunday.
The Portuguese right-back Diogo is also on the books of Dalot United, but currently those Serie A leaders are A.C. Seasonal is on a long loan with Milan.
