Swimming for adults
Rick and Morty mini episodes they are becoming a series of their own, showcasing different styles of art and direction and filling the gap between seasons. The latter comes from Tower of God anime director Takashi Sano, and sends Rick and Morty on an adventure in beautiful Tokyo.
Titled Rick and Morty vs. Genocider, the episode addresses the paradoxes of time. Complex, surprisingly moving and, yes, strangeThis is another notch in the belt for the shorts. The first one samurai episode in MarchIt took a year to put together – it’s worth it.
Rick and Morty finished airing their fourth season in late May. During an adult Swim Twitch event timed with the San Diego Comic-Con, co-creator Dan Harmon released a animated storyboard clip of the next fifth season.
“We’ve basically finished writing it; the only exception is that I get on these Zoom editing sessions where we’re wrapping up the end of season 5,” said Harmon. “It’s a crazy situation because this show has notoriously kept everyone behind.”
