Rick and Morty He surprised fans with the latest killer anime short that debuted during Toonami earlier this year, and now the franchise got a new short during Toonami’s special edition of Adult Swim Con. This new short was revealed to be directed by tower of God director Takeshi Sano! This short is much longer than the last, and much more detailed, so this time fans enjoyed a full-length anime short! Titled “Rick and Morty vs. Genocider,” the two (one of many multiverse versions anyway) head to Japan to help with some strange incident.
This short film lasts just over eight minutes total and was a major debut during Adult Swim Con. The convention’s Toonami-flavored special segment will run all night on the Adult Swim programming block, but thankfully Rick and Morty fA cool new anime short was invited! Adult Swim Con has been a great weekend for fans of Rick and Morty Overall, as fans recently watched Season 5 of the series for the first time. After waiting for several years for the fourth season of the series, the franchise returned with a vengeance not only with its standard list of episodes, but also with these two new anime shorts. Now that the series has been reprized for several more seasons, Rick and Morty going to be there for a long time
As for when we will see the fifth season, unfortunately Rick and Morty Season 5 currently does not have a specific release date as of this writing. While writing has already begun for season 6 of the series remotely, there have been no updates on whether or not the cast has been able to record their lines. In previous interviews, this was revealed to be a problem for some of the stars, but things behind the scenes have likely been clarified since then.
