Rey Mysterio at WWE Extreme Rules
Last night at WWE Extreme Rules, in WWE’s first Eye for An Eye Match, Rey Mysterio and Seth Rollins pushed themselves to the limit by extracting each other’s eye.
Seth Rollins set the tone for the match when he made his way to the ring with pliers. The two Superstars tested every weapon they could find to gouge out each other’s eyes. In the end, Seth Rollins led Rey Mysterio’s eye first to the steel steps, gouging out his eye immediately.
The referee immediately rang the bell and Dominik ran to take care of his father. Seth Rollins couldn’t believe what he had witnessed and threw up his guts before heading to the back.
After the match, WWE provided an update on Rey Mysterio’s health stating that medical experts were optimistic that if the optic nerve is not cut and there is not too much strain on the blood vessels and nerves that connect the eye to the rest. out of his head, there is a chance that Mysterio can keep his vision.
Dave Meltzer on his recent Wrestling Observer Radio noticed Rey Mysterio’s status with WWE after Extreme Rules.
Rey Mysterio, which is the other question everyone has, has not signed it. My instinct is still, as it has been all the time, but it hasn’t happened yet. So, that ending was because I hadn’t signed. As I mentioned as if he doesn’t sign, the obvious end is that he has to lose, and if he signs, the obvious end is that he has to win. But the reason they gave that open thing that we can save their eye is in case it signs. That is your way out.
