Restomode is a limited edition retro look PC with a fake floppy drive

Origin has created a new, limited edition PC with the guts of a new model but the face of an ancient 1990s machine, complete with a fake floppy drive. You want a little sadness while you wait Red Dead Redemption To load, maybe.

The RestoMode has a custom Corser 4000D case, and the standard build has 16GB of memory, a 2.9GHz Core i5 processor, 250GB of storage, and a 6GB NVIII GIForce GTX 1660T graphics card, which costs $ 2,080. Genesis says retromods can be customized as desired, but they only made 50 of them, so supply is limited.

Restomod: with new but old look

The front of the machine is where you get the old school feel, the original says:

Using a custom HD UV print on the steel front panel, Restomod PC has been given a PC-inspired custom design since the 1990s. Buttons and drives are just for looks, but you can always pretend that the turbo button gives you an extra boost in performance. To complete the look, the Restomod PC chassis is painted in a matching badge color to emphasize that the cases in the day chose more simplicity than color.

It’s a little disappointing that the Turbo button doesn’t work somehow, but this PC is about its image: old and sort of dingy. Of course, just for the limited run of machines0 machines it seems that Origin can get some really retro parts, like old disk drives, instead of the essentially fun, but cosmetic paint job.

If you find a retromod comfy non-dyed fabric face, go to the original website to configure your new, but old, PC.
