Reporter of Trump jabs booing through public for question about masks

President Trump sought praise from an audience in New Jersey after coming up with a reporter who specifically asked why they do not all wear masks.

On Friday, Trump ended his unexpected news conference in Bedminster, New Jersey, with a confrontation with a reporter, with exceptions to protocols masked and jokingly saying the crowd came to the event to protest to the media.

“You said the pandemic was going to go away, but we lost 6,000 Americans this week. And right in this room you have dozens of people who do not follow the guidelines in New Jersey,” the reporter asked, asking angry questions from the public.

“You are doing this wrong because it is a political activity. They have exceptions, political activity. And it is also a peaceful protest,” Trump quipped, adding the crowd that was assembled to protest the media.

“I would call it peaceful protest because they heard you came up. And they know the news is false. They understand it better than anyone,” Trump also said, prompting the public to respond with praise.
