It has been speculated for months about which team Jadevan Clooney (if any) will join by the start of the 2020 NFL regular season. We’ve often heard of “interest” and “negotiation” and “made fur” and “scoring offers” and “lowering the price”, like I put on clmo stories until something meaningful happens.
We’re here, a week into the opening night and ten days away from the early days of the Seahawks and something meaningful.
ESPN’s Diana Roussini says both the Tennessee Titans and New Orleans Saints are ready to get Clooney, and time is of the essence as it’s the only way to play Week 1 if it clears the Covid-19 protocol by the end of this week.
Jadevan Clooney could be with a team very soon. I’ve been told that both the Tennessee Titans and the New Orleans Saints are creating strong pressure to sign a free agent. Both teams want to field him by Monday and are making his pitches.

We’ve seen these one-story stories before, but when the respected NFL insiders start releasing all the stories, I think we have to take note. Here Tom Palliser says Clooney and Saints head coach Sean Payton have frequent conversations.
This # Cents Seed Payton is sending an allout blitz to try to sign Jadevan Clooney, who has spoken many times for the coach, sources tell me and RapSheet. At least two other teams are still involved as Clooney’s extended free-agent saga approaches.

And what about Mike Gerafolo about this? The Saints are believed to have enough cap space just to buy a bottle of soda, so they are looking to restructure some deals to make room for Clovani.
This # Cents Sources said agents have been approached for players currently on the roster to see if they can restructure some deals in the coming days. The NFLPA currently has them at less than િયન 7 million in cap space. So they are working to make space if Jadevan Clooney will sign.

Where does this leave the Seahawks? Well Pete Carroll is just one “Always compete“When asked by reporters about the Seattle pass-running situation, Darrell Taylor is now on the NFI’s list. If the price had been right, certain Seahawks would have already re-signed it, but at the moment it’s obviously too high.
The cost of the Clooney is still too high for Seattle, while I have been told that the Jacksonville Jaguars are also monitoring the situation according to the source.

Basically I think any of the silly hopes you have of the CX signing Clooney seem to have been dashed, and their rush involved in drafting Bruce Irwin and Benson Mayova, as well as the injured Darrell Taylor and Ton Linton Robinson, has improved.
Here’s a hell of a year for the likes of Rashim Green and LJ Collier!
