Report: Saints, Seahawks believe that prices are too high to force Jadevan Clooney to sign

It has been speculated for months about which team Jadevan Clooney (if any) will join by the start of the 2020 NFL regular season. We’ve often heard of “interest” and “negotiation” and “made fur” and “scoring offers” and “lowering the price”, like I put on clmo stories until something meaningful happens.

We’re here, a week into the opening night and ten days away from the early days of the Seahawks and something meaningful.

ESPN’s Diana Roussini says both the Tennessee Titans and New Orleans Saints are ready to get Clooney, and time is of the essence as it’s the only way to play Week 1 if it clears the Covid-19 protocol by the end of this week.

We’ve seen these one-story stories before, but when the respected NFL insiders start releasing all the stories, I think we have to take note. Here Tom Palliser says Clooney and Saints head coach Sean Payton have frequent conversations.

And what about Mike Gerafolo about this? The Saints are believed to have enough cap space just to buy a bottle of soda, so they are looking to restructure some deals to make room for Clovani.

Where does this leave the Seahawks? Well Pete Carroll is just one “Always compete“When asked by reporters about the Seattle pass-running situation, Darrell Taylor is now on the NFI’s list. If the price had been right, certain Seahawks would have already re-signed it, but at the moment it’s obviously too high.

Basically I think any of the silly hopes you have of the CX signing Clooney seem to have been dashed, and their rush involved in drafting Bruce Irwin and Benson Mayova, as well as the injured Darrell Taylor and Ton Linton Robinson, has improved.

Here’s a hell of a year for the likes of Rashim Green and LJ Collier!
