Report: Rainbow Six quarantine named “Rainbow Six parasite” on image surface

Released back in 2019, Rainbow Six Quarantine news didn’t really surface last year unless it was delayed to “early 2021” during Ubisoft’s quarterly earnings.

While Ubisoft has been mum on any new details, it looks like the publisher is moving on with the game, as its file has been uploaded to the PlayStation Network! This file numbers version 1.01 of the game and cites it as an “initial launch patch”.

Upon further excavation, we noticed an image from a file attached to the PS4 of the dash, boot and save data icon, and mention of the Rainbow Six parasite, which could be the new title of the Rainbow Six quarantine! Note that Ubisoff has confirmed that it is in the process of renaming and moving away from “quarantine” in view of the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic. Check out the images we received below.

The boot screen will see PS4 players. Save data icon.

In addition, we have managed to capture the image of the remote play feature using the PlayStation Vita, which is also named “Rainbow Six Parasite”. Unfortunately there is no description of what each button does.

Here is the official description of the game when it was released by Ubisoft:

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Quarantine U3 is a team-based survival FPS developed by a whole new team at Ubisoft Montreal.

Rainbow Six operators will confront the mysterious threat of infecting human beings and those around them. When you go into quarantine, be prepared to put yourself and your team on a tight, chaotic and completely unpredictable mission that puts everything at risk.

If the parasite is really the final title, it’s a fit, and really does the trick of removing it from COVID-19.

We have reached out to Ubisoft and will update the post if we get any feedback.
