The great Chicago Bears tight end purge continues, with a guy we didn’t necessarily expect to survive the weekend draft, now finally on the move.
And it wasn’t even cut! The Bears could get something in exchange for Adam Shaheen:
The Bears are trading TE Adam Shaheen with the Dolphins for a conditional 2021 sixth-round draft pick, by source with knowledge of the transaction.

Obviously, it depends on the conditions that will really give the Bears a pick, but at this point, possibly getting something should look like a win. (In stark contrast to Shaheen’s original draft of the selection, which must be seen as a huge bust.)
Luis will probably have much more on this later. Moving Shaheen into the trade could save the Bears more than $ 1.9 million against the limit, instead of cutting it and saving just $ 1.2 million. That just makes trading a good move. But what if the Bears also end with a sixth round? Steal.
Which is a little sad.
