Former alleged guilty plea by FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith to falsify a document justifying oversight of a former Trump campaign adviser could be the first of many to result from the Durham probe, Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., Told “Fox & Friends.”
The ‘French-speaking lawyer’, as Nunes Clinesmith calls it, proclaimed ‘Vive la Resistance’ in one of his anti-Trump text messages that have been made public.

“I think Durham delivered him extremely easily,” Nunes said. “There are multiple allegations that may have been brought, probably including conspiracy and including destruction of evidence. That my judgment is perhaps that he is cooperating. Maybe he is not. But this is a good first step.”
On Friday, in response to news of Clinesmith’s alleged guilty plea, President Trump said, “This is just the beginning, I would imagine. This … what happened would never have to happen again.”
He also called Clinesmith a “corrupt FBI attorney”, part of former FBI Director James Comey “very corrupt FBI.”
Two sources close to the investigation told Fox News on Friday that Clinesmith will plead guilty.
“Kevin deeply regrets that he changed the email. It was never his intention to mislead the court or his colleagues because he believed the information he passed on was accurate,” said Clinesmith’s attorney, Justin Shur , in a statement. “But Kevin understood what he was doing wrong and was accepting responsibility.”
Nunes said it was important that various moving parts of the origins of the Russian probe be revealed.
“I hope we get at least before the election a full report of everything I just posted so that we at least know exactly what happened,” he said. “It simply came to our notice then. But the most important thing is that we need the truth. “
